Hello!

I submitted my wife's sponsorship application at the end of this February. At that time I also submitted her medical (which was done at the beginning of this year from an approved clinic). After approving as sponsor, file transferring to Singapore, yesterday they asked for Medical again (although on ecas it still does not show in progress and I'm the medical that I submitted with the application still has 5-6 months validity).

Does this mean our application is about to complete? or is this normal thing to ask for medical again? Please someone answer I am so worried :( :( :( :( :(

I would definitely contact the office and ensure they received the medical results. I've heard of a couple of people who had theirs lost so the Office asked for it again not realizing they should already have it.

this is probably just the standard letter applicants get. if it was asked in the SA letter, or the confirmation letter from your vo, usually the letter is the same, and it's basically stating to send it in if you haven't already. i would not recommend getting another one done, i would send the receipt for the current medical report and wait to see if it's requested again. if the medical exam results were entered into the system correctly by the doctor, then thre is a slim chance the results were "lost". However, if the doctor originally used is no longer on the list of approved panel doctors, the exam will need to be redone. apparently that has happened to some applicants.

In the email it says "These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage

where medical examination results are now required."

And this time they also sent me a medical from on which they already filled my wife's info.

And they also asked me to submit it within next 60 days and unable to do so would cause the application to be refused.

what form or receipt does your wife have proving she's done the exam? is the doctor used still on the approved list of panel doctors?

When we 1st submitted the application, we did not have any forms so the doctor gave a receipt. Now Singapore office sent instructions and filled IMM1017 form with her infos. and on the top of the instruction it says "These medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage where medical examination results are now required."

did the receipt say "emedical" on it, and include your wife's picture, passport and personal info? you may find better answers in the singapore specific thread...

Ya. all those above we there.

then i suggest asking specifically in the singapore thread if this is common. the emedical is suppose to be accepted. perhaps if you send the emedical receipt, it will be enough.
