What is the difference between 10y and 12 y Total years of secondary education

Hi everyone, I went from Kindergarten to Ninth grade at a School, and then I did the rest 10,11,12 at another school.

Does that mean that I have a 12 year secondary education?.

what would be an example for a 10 years secondary education?

Kindergarten is not counted, so you have 12 years of education, 10 years would be grade 1 to 10.
