I was sent an email letting me know I was approved for sponsorship, and on my account it says that I was sent a letter in the mail but I'm worried it was sent to my old address (I submitted the new address to IRCC right after they sent it). It's also been 6 weeks and I'm concerned it's been lost or tossed away by the new tenants.
Can anyone tell me what is in that letter? Is it something that I need to respond to or is it just a hard copy of the approval email I got?

I personally never got anything in the mail, I only remember an e-mail saying we had gotten sponsor approval and that our file was moved to a Visa office. I'm not sure if we're in the same situation, but I would not worry about this. The next steps, if you haven't taken them yet, would be biometrics and medical exam and you will get official requests for those on the IRCC website.

The online tool. My husband who is the principal applicant has a GC key account but I don't. As the sponsor, should I also register for a gc key account?

Has the person who has access to the gckey account checked there? Possible it was sent there and the mail referred to did not mean that it was physical mail.

We've actually been having trouble linking our application to his account. We sent the application in the mail and it says on my online tool that it was received in February but when we input the information to link the existing application it returns no results...
We also applied for a student visa at the same time, so that's the only application that's on his gckey account because we applied online.
Do you have any idea where we may have gone wrong? I don't understand why the application doesn't turn up when I've received two letters already with a UCI number and application number. I've tried dozens of times and double checked the information was correct.
I doubt many other people have two applications going at once, so I understand if this is too complicated of an issue to help with but I appreciate the input.

You can get around the login attempt limit easily - use a different browser, quit and restart your browser, or use incognito mode for browsers that support. There are probably other ways too.
I was just confused because I’m pretty sure that anything related to sponsor application such as the approval usually isn’t sent to gckey . By email or to your post office .
