Decision made after first stage interview

Hi Everyone,

Mu hubby's ecas was changed to decision made and it says that the letter was sent on Apr 10 about the decision. Today, it's now 11 days with no letter. Is this normal? Did they really mean that the letter was sent on Apr 10?

Depends on where it's going. It can take min 2 weeks so you've got a few more days before you should start to get a little concerned. It can take up to 2 months though from what I know of CIC.

Hi Parker,

Thank you for your response. I'm just wondering why it takes too long to receive the letter as our file is now with CIC Vancouver and we are living in the same city. Maybe the letter was not really sent on Apr 10.

Anyone who received a letter from CIC that didn't match with the date sent in Ecas?

It's possible. It's also possible that Canada Post is taking it's sweet time. CP has it's issues as far as delivering mail. Hopefully you'll receive soon!

Did you receive the interview letter yet? I got the letter from Vegreville where they confirm the process is complete but no news from Vancouver office by now...It's been 3 weeks.

They sent the letter on April 26, based on canada post stamp, and we received on May 2. What happen is, they sent all the letters, dated April 10 and 25, and OWP at the same time.

What does your ecas says?

We received your application for permanent residence on September 28, 2011.

We started processing your application on October 14, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We received the requested information on April 4, 2012. Thank you for providing the information.

We sent you a letter on April 16, 2012 to (my address) about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

I received the letter from Vegreville where they told me the process has been completed and to wait for Vancouver, the letter you got is for the landing interview? How long did it took to get it?

The DM letter I received it on April 20, 2012

Almost 3 weeks ago!
