What are the requirements for getting married to a Canadian citizen to an Indian citizen who wants to live with me?

Hello everyone, I am in a huge situation.

So I'm a Canadian Citizen who is in a serious long-distance relationship with my boyfriend who currently lives in India. we talked and we want to eventually get married of course and he wants to come live with me in Canada. What would I need to do and what would he need to do? Where would we start? approximately how long is this process?
