We have not received the PR Card

Hi everybody,

My husband landed in as a permanent resident on April 04 2014. He was told that he'll receive his PR Card by mail no longer than 60 days. But still he has not received it. I'm a little confused how to contact CIC about this. Is this normal? or should I call them? I searched on their website and it seems the only was to figure it out is to fill a form and fax/ mail it to them... I appreciate any help.

Currently the processing time for new PR cards is ~95 days, its normal that you havent received the PR card.

I landed on April 3rd and am yet to get the PR card.

Just relax and you will get it next month.

Just for your information, I landed on March 15th and my PR card arrive yesterday (It took 94days)!

Do they give you something to use in the meantime? Also how long does it take for the sin card so you can work after landing. My hubby plans to start looking for work right away

They are no longer giving out SIN cards. All you will get is a piece of paper with the number. He can start working a minute after he gets his SIN card if he has a job lined up. There is no waiting period
