Hi all,
Like many others that landed in Nov 2015, we've been waiting forever for the PR card. Even after numerous calls, and assurances that the card was "in production" and "approved", we just now got a letter stating we need to resubmit the photos. The problem is my husband has been hired on a work project where he is going to be travelling a lot so we'd like to get the PR card as soon as possible.
Two questions:
1. Would it be a problem if he retook the pictures (according to specs) from outside Canada, couriered it to me and I sent it to CIC?
2. He'll need to apply for PR Travel document to return in March, but what if he still doesnt get it by the next time he'll be returning? Is there an issue to apply to 2 Travel documents (beyond the obvious hassle)?
Thank you!

Oh brother, they actually told you the card was ready and then sent a letter requesting pictures? How the heck can they get things THAT wrong.
1) Yes he can mail the pictures from anywhere, they aren't a security risk like mailing a passport. Just
make sure he has the right photo specs. He could just courier the photos to CIC directly.
2) Not sure what you mean by 2 travel docs.
Thanks for the reply - and yup, they assured us the card was Approved

! Unfortunately we were only given a PO box from CIC, and couriers cant deliver there as far as I know, so think him sending to me directly would be ideal. Good to know the photos can be from abroad (i only asked because they need to have the address of the photo studio, and it made me a bit worried..)
For the 2 travel documents, i was just thinking worst case scenario. My husband will apply for one now, to return March 24. In a month he'd likely need to travel again and if CIC is as efficient as they've been up until now I wouldn't be surprised if we'd still be waiting (hope not!)
Back in November measurement was 25-30mm. In January it changed to 31-36mm. For some stupid reason they make people send in new photos and delay the process, even if the photos were correct and followed the guidelines back in November. I got my letter today. Retards...

Not that big of a deal. We got a photo request, and it added a little over two weeks to our application. Photos sent to them Feb 11th, DM Feb 29th - The actual photo measurements are 50X70mm, you posted the head size only.
