I have no idea when, I contacted through webform and they never reply. I emailed them 3 times no reply. I contacted Canada they said they can't do anything either because it's outside of Canada. So only option is wait I guess. It's been 17 days for today. I even told them it's emergency but embassy here never got back to me. What Canada ppl told me his they reduced the staff in India from 27 to 5 which is why it's taking so long.

There are only 5 staffs working? Then they should have mentioned In the website that it will take than the usual timings and so that everybody can plan their travels accordingly right… it’s making everybody anxious when it’s crossing the usual timing and there is no prior intimation. Also the vfs said it will come in 10 to 12 bussiness days..

I submitted my passport on 5th December. The VFS guys (in India) told me 15 days if I opt for a courier service and 20-25 days if I go and collect it. So no need to panic. I would take 20 days as the standard and that is business days not calendar.

I opted for the premium courier service and it is 16 bussiness days as of now…
