Someone’s passport that reached IRCC on 14th Nov for visitor visa was dispatched today.

Mine reached IRCC on the same day as well, but still no updates. The background verification still says in progress.

Hopefully we are all in the queue. Mine reached IRCC on Nov 20th

I had received these two emails since passport was submitted for parents visit visa on 18-Nov:


Visa application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxx The envelope for the decision on the results of your visa that has been processed has been received at the Canadian Visa Application Center at New Delhi OC, on the date. We will then send this to the Canadian Visa Application Center New Delhi OC. Please note that this is an automated email. Please DO NOT reply to this email.

Does the first email means passport is with VFS? Haven’t received any collection notification from VFS yet.

Brother if you get any update. Plz let me know. I got the same email. I think its still in transit and not at ircc office.
What does your vfs tracking id says.

After that you will have received a mail like this:

"Your application, tracking ID xxxxxxxxx has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on [Date]" This mail means its now with the IRCC.

I am afraid. I dint get this email yet

What’s the status of your background verification in the tracker?

Background verification in process and eligibility is verified it's green. I thought all the background and eligibility verification is done in Canada and IRCC in Delhi just does the stamping

Update regarding Visitor Visa stamping:

IRCC Received passport: Nov-18th

I can see now the Visa Number and Expiry Date in the tracker. Also, the 'Background Check' section in tracker is showing amber (in porgress).
Any idea, when will the actual passport dispatch will happen?

Yes sure I will update here. I am unable to find vfs portal where I can track application. Can you share it here?

WHAT IS THE EXPIRE DATE YOU GOT.

Just thought of sharing, the visa expiry for my parents is a day prior to passport expiry, so over 8 years of validity. First time application with no travel history.
