Can someone guide on applying for canada visitor visa for parents.
What are all the documents needed?
I know the visitor visa is given for a max stay of 6 months in a single entry, but would it be valid for multiple entries? If so for how many years is the visitor visa provided?

Visitor Visa approved on June 29th
Passport sent to VFS on July 4th
VFS sent passport to IRCC for processing on July 8th

Visa processing time was 36 days at the time of application.

Biometrics completed on the 7th of June

I am also in the same boat as you. Applied to my girl friend and waiting. I heard for friends when compared with blood relations will have less chances of getting visitor visa. Fingers crossed and waiting. Good luck to you!

Yes

If so for how many years is the visitor visa provided?

Maximum 10 years but visa will be limited to validity of the passport. For example if the passport is expiring in May 2024 then visa issued will only be valid till May 2024 so if the passport is expiring soon apply for a new passport so that you can get longer validity.

Boyfriend/girlfriend visa is hard to get but we just decided to try because you never know. Hoping for the best outcome. Good luck to you too
