Yes you can be denied before doing biometrics. Not sure what you mean by keeping it to himself. No VO needs to send refusal or send out PPR.

On the website they say that they review the application after the biometrics are being given. Although maybe they look into it before. I think it would only be refused before biometrics if there was some major mistake

Some countries have 500 days; others 12... IRCC!

I have seen 4 to 5 times Ghost update. But no update.

Can you share the status of background check

This threat is all about people like us who apply for tourist/visit/pleasure/business there is not essential in place. So It might take a while. But we are here to calculated how much we might wait for and answer, if there is even one because for my understanding they are not giving tourist visa until restriction are lifted.

They haven't said that; they only said, they'll prioritize essential cases over leisure & tourism TRV.
