Hi guys, this is my first post here
My situation is that I just graduated and I have a valid study permit and TRV till 31 January 2017 and I wanna visit my home country for a short vacation. So is it OK to submit an application for the PGWP then go home and come back before 31 January? or should I wait until I get the PGWP?
Also, can I apply for the PGWP online from my home country?
Can any one with some experience with this issue suggest the best scenario? Thank you.
Yes you can go home just make sure you come before 31 Jan'17
and yes you can apply online as well
I am planning on doing the same thing.
*confirmed with my advisor at International center.
Be sure you apply within 90 days from your date of graduation. (It's not the date of the issuance of your diploma, usually it's an earlier date. Your school will notice you).
I would apply before you leave, because when you come back and your visa will expire in a few days/weeks, it might be harder to board a flight. (I had some problems with a crazy airport officer in Vienna). If you can show evidence that you already applied for extension there won't be any problem.
