Visiting Canada while and Outland Sponsorship Process

Hi! Me and my husband are currently planning to apply to the outland Sponsorship process. i (the applicant) have doble nationality, both Italian and Venezuelan , i enter Canada without any visa, but our plan is to get the application trought the Venezuela office (now in Mexico) we've decided for an outland process because i have no problem to go to Mexico if an interview is requested. But my question is: if i visit my husband or i stay for the 6 months period permitted with the european passport , Can that be a problem for the application?

Hi

There is no problem waiting it out in Canada with your partner. In fact, quite a lot of people (including my partner) do this. If the app still hasn't been processed in the 6 months, you can extend your stay as well.

As for using your Italian passport to enter and your Venezuelan passport for the app, there would be no problem with that either. You are a citizen of both countries and are allowed to choose which passport you want to use in both situations.
