My parents got PPR today for their Visitor Visa. Here is their timeline.

Applied on: 20th Sept 21 via Portal
Biometrics: 1st Nov 21
Biometrics accepted: 4th Nov 21
PPR: 4th Nov 21
Funds proof were not submitted for anyone
Applied from India
Both sons are living outside India
Strong ties - Submitted their property and pension docs

Is there anyone in this group/thread who has applied for a spouse visitor visa (as a PR/citizen) and their application was approved? Any info will be really appreciated!

I have applied from the US on Sept 23rd, 2021. Last update Oct 18th biometrics completed. No update after that. Just received an email saying we're still processing your application. I guess many received that in the last couple of days.

My mother in law got a ppr today. Sister in law visa refused. Here is the times lines. We applied through portal
AR: 4 the oct
Biometric update on 12 oct
Eligibilit started on 13 oct.
PPR 4th Nov
VO: Abudhabhi
COR: Pakistan.
Sister's refusal is no travel history, strong ties in Canada, purpose of travel.
We mentioned that she is coming to help us for second baby delivery.

We showed $19,0000 for both app. We didn't show any ties.

My brother and his wife got their passport request this morning. The entire process took only 5 days and I can't believe it. Visa office is Accra, Ghana.

Did you invite your brother? Also, did you had to show proof of funds or it was your brother that had to do that?

So sad. I’m also sponsoring mother for 1 month but I was recommended to choose supervisa instead of visitor visa as ircc is usually lenient on parent’s side of funds when it is under this category. I am waiting for a decision soon, will let you know if my mother got super visa and you may then try similar route.

UPDATE:

My sister got approved for Visitors Visa. She is from the Philippines

Timeline:

October 1 submitted application
October 2 biometrics letter
October 5 biometrics done
October 13 Passport request
October 14 date of visa issue
October 21 mailed passport
October 26 received passport with visa.

My sister was given multiple visa. but only up to passport expiry which is 7 yrs.
