Hello all, just wanted to update you on my situation. The ones that are in the Vienna whatsapp group probably already know, but i finished my PR process and have landed in Canada. I received my new COPR the day before i was flying out to Canada. The whole sponsorship process took about 16 months for mme which was quite long but fortunately its over. I landed at Toronto Pearson last Saturday and the landing process was fast and straightforward, they asked if i had commited any crimes and if i had any dependants, etc. They did did not ask for proof of funds or a list of accompanying goods. Since im doing a soft landing i didnt have those ready anyway. Im glad im finally done and i wish everyone here thats still in the process the best of luck and especially strenght to see it through. I will still be around on the forum and in the WA group to offer help and encouragement. I like to thank everyone that helped me with their advice and insights. Cheers!

Thanks, i hope you wont face any hiccups either. They didnt ask me for proof of funds, and they usually dont from what I can gather from reading some of the landing experiences. A print out of your bank statemwnt will probably suffice if you really want to bring one though.
Thanks man we submitted our application in November, did medical in January so it took just a little over 11 months in total and 9 months since medical.
Vienna VO just issued my wife's counterfoil and CoPR. We will pick up her passport on Monday and she will be leaving on November 2nd. It's been such a long journey, almost 11 and a half months... now we can finally start our married life here in Canada.
I wish every single one of you the best and to be reunited with your spouse as soon as possible!

Hope you are settling in nicely.
I will print out an bank statement just to be sure.
Did you had to get a SIN number too? And did you get that at the airport?
I have read that there is an service centre.
We will be landing around 11.30pm, and hopefully I can get that at the same time.

I wanted to apply for the SIN number at the airport, but i think they close at night, i was also also there late in the evening and there was nobody there. Cant hurt to check though, they are right next to the immigration office towards the exit. If not you can head to a Service Canada near you and they will sort you out quickly, thats what I did and it took me like 15-30 min including wait time. Good luck!
Last Saturday my wife and I landed at Toronto's Pearson Airport in the morning about 11.30am
We skipped the first custom booth, and we were told to go to the other room (immigration room)
We waited in line for around 10 min (luckily not so busy) before it was our turn.
I was asked the standard questions that you can read on the forum, and after around 10 min we were done. A smooth process.
We couldn't do my SIN number because we were told to do that on Monday.
We picked up our suitcases, and went to the last custom check were we had to go right instead of the exit on the left. Reason was the goods to follow form that I had.
This process took no more then 10 min.
After that we went to the exit, and now I'm waiting for my Pr-card to home through the mail.
The whole process was fast and smooth, and all the custom officers were very helpfull.
I also want to thank everybody in this forum who has helped me with my questions. I really appreciated all the help.
Good luck to the ones who are still waiting, hopefully the wait will be over soon.
