Hello.
I'm sorry to say this but Vienna is one of the slowest offices.
Some of us in this thread waiting for more than 13 14 months.
I already passed my 13 month.
And I know some of the people here waiting almost as long as me or even longer.
I saw you only joined in March I'm guessing that's the time of the start of your application, hopefully you will have a fast processing.
But from experience it's going to be a waiting game.

Yeah seems you are right ... Vienna is in slumber. Unfortunately, we didnt get even transfer to Vienna yet.... it is ridiculous. Got my GCMS notes (I know I should have ordered them at least 3-4 month after application is transferred)...But I needed to know they didnt request anything from us...and they have all they need now. So I really dont know what is going on. So seeing that Vienna takes it time...doesnt give me much hope to have my application finished any time soon

Something is happening wit Canada, they are not even issuing visitor visas for exploratory visit anymore. For the second time embassy is rejecting my friend who got invitation from Manitoba to do exploratory visit, they are telling him that he doesont fulfill requiered things to get visa like travel history and bunch of other things that do not stand. He has visited whole world, three times he was a visitor in to the USA he even visited China 5 times and they are saying him no travel history. He is married and they are saying him no tie conections with your homeland and things like that. Dont know what is going on but in to the entire world they stoped the process not only Vienna.

for some applicants. If it shows background check in progress in your myCIC for a while your application is submitted to CBSA/CSIS for security screening.

A friend of mine who is also PNP he got the AOR if not mistaken last year November, got the Medial request and also the police and court papers last week. So I guess they are not completely stoped but i might depend on how they process application and God Knows how many applications they have to screen and process....

FYI- Read this on other forum, shocked, don't know about the authenticity of the information.

"guys u wont believe wt i heard from these agents when i called them....i am not sure if it was a slip of tongue or something.....they told me that there are other options of applying to PR as express entry and etc....and that the current applications will be carried over to the next year ....she didnt tell me a reason but in her conversation im feeling that she is trying to tell me that it is going to take another year to finalize......i insisted again as to what could be the reason....nd she told me that there are only 2-3 officers in sydney or other offices who takes care of all these files which are over 25000 applications.....nd that they have requested government to appoint more staff for processing these applications.....the government has rejected the plea nd said that it is over the budget.....

so in short that lady told me that the officers are on a kinda strike nd doing the application at their own pace.......processing, background checks, security, and finalizing are done all by these 2-3 officers who are present there. the government cannot abolish this category of skilled worker pnp paper based as this would effect their immigration standards and put their immigration down in the eyes of other nations.

i am a march 31 applicant.....im also going thru the same situation....guys if you have any option of applying under express entry go ahead and do it.......u can apply simultaneously along with the old PR application.....when one of the application finalizes go ahead and withdraw the other application. i know its expensive and time consuming and pain.....but it will be worth it......or if you dont want to then go ahead and wait......it might come someday, months or years......god knows...."

I dont have any news, have not heard from CIC in a while either. Initial processing in Mississauga went smooth, after transfer to Vienna its been completely silent.

I'm going to call the embassyon the phone right now and ask them about the status of my application. It has been more then 12 months of waiting.

You won't be able to get an agent on the phone. I tried it 2 weeks ago or maybe you have more luck

Im trying to contact them but without a chance getting someone on the phone. Fck what a hell is going on with this process.
