US Police Clearance: FBI Processing Times

i checked with FBI today. They are processing applications that reached on July 21st. Told me to call them in another 2 weeks.

Called today. The FBI are opening packages received July 19. (Ours was!)

They couldn't find ours when we gave our name which was odd - so they told us to call back on Wednesday. This might mean it will take Friday, Monday, and Tuesday to open all of the packages delivered July 19.

I will provide an update when I have more information next week on Wednesday.

*TIMELINE UPDATE*
Last week we were told to call on Wednesday this week, but we just wanted to check in early today - just in case. She still didn't find our record when we gave her our info, and said to call back tomorrow (Tuesday Oct 23). She asked for the tracking number and confirmed they should have received it July 19, but that the delay in finding our record might be due to the "new system." I don't think this means the new electronic system everyone is buzzing about is in place - I just think they are adjusting and changing their processes to make way for the updates next year. Will give an update after we call tomorrow.

In my case, I didn't wait until the last day. I started my application as soon as the other documents were ready and I added an explanation together with the mailing receipt. For me it was ok (at least until now), but it may be a risk depending on the officer that checks your documents... If you decide to wait, your "last resort" option will probably be the best thing you can do.

So what did you do when you actually received the document - since you couldn't upload it anymore (I am in the same boat)

Called the FBI again this morning. It's clear now to us and to them that they've misplaced our package - which they confirmed they received July 19. Someone there is now looking through the mail room.

It's been 14 weeks since delivery and I am very upset and anxious. If they ask us to submit again - will we have to wait another 14+ weeks? It's all we are waiting on to finish our application.

...Will update if we hear anything else.

I called them today and found they shipped my package on 20th October but I haven't received it yet. I live in New York City.
I am a bit worried. Does it take that long to receive a letter from West Virginia?

I will require PCC from FBI. However, I am yet to receive my ITA. I was wondering if I can apply for PCC from FBI before being offered the ITA.

I think they are still processing applications received on the 4th week of July. August 4th applications en-cashing should be happening soon.

I received my FBI certificate yesterday. Mine arrived at the office July 20/21 and was processed on Oct 20.

Opening package is July 28 as of yesterday. Hope this help!
