Can anyone say whether we should expect COPR by email attachment, or regular mail to our home address?
I'm worried we may have missed it and I just can't find info anywhere that says exactly what you should be looking for.
We made application August 2016, sponsorship by Canadian spouse approved, U.S. applicant's medical results successful, no interview required, no additional fingerprints required, fees paid, it just seems we are waiting on final background checks (I only found all this out because I visited Canada and was able to call the automated number from within the country).
Hi! so you will receive the CoPR by mail as far as I know. This is why it's important to have your address completely up to date. Not sure if I've seen anyone receive it by email and just print it out. (although I hope it's by email, cause that would be a lot quicker.)
what do you mean by account details being updated??
I feel like our application is in the final bits..
Eligibility is still in review (but they always say that till the end.) and we just got confirmation that they're processing our background check.
which we have no idea when that started..
-They have started Criminality, but not Security.
Which I'm assuming Criminality is the longer of the two. since Security is what they do at the border anyways, yeah?
The MyCIC account. At the end, when they had issued the CoPR, they updated it: Eligibility - completed, Background Check - completed, Final Decision - approved, etc.
I was hoping you had. We just got DM and there are so many people before us still waiting for their request. This process is just stealing my soul little by little.

Maybe someone can help me. My med request letter states that I need to provide results in 30 days. My daughter is in the USA and I am flying out there this weekend to get hers done (hopefully), but might be cutting it close with the 30 days. Do I need to contact CIC if its outside of the 30 days?

I believe the letter only says the exam needs to be done within the 30 days, at least ours was worded that way. Our exam was done within the 30 days but the results were sent to CIC after that time-frame and they were passed with no problem. That's just our experience though.

Yah, mcroze is right. As long as the medical examination is done within 30 days then you're good. The result coming out after 30 days will not be a problem.
Thanks, completed the medical today and they sent in the results same day.
I haven't been able to link my account, which is annoying and will be submitting my Background checks this coming week as well as my Schedule A. I had my medical 2 weeks ago and when I go into the online services to check the status of my account, it just says application received. Should it not have updated with any additional info such as my medical?

When your medical results are received, you will see an additional line on ECAS stating such. You do have to click "application received" to see that info.
