Applying fro the USA Canadian sponsoring my American hubby. Been married 11 years. Application received in Mississauga on Oct 6. Still no AOR... Anyone else in this boat? Can't call since not on Canada
Looks like someone in the October thread just got AOR today who applied on Oct 6, so you have a bit more waiting to do before you start to worry. There's always some variation, I applied August 2 and applicants from August 10 and later were receiving their AOR by the time I received mine.
How wonderful! My husband and I had to live apart our first full year of marriage. I am still just living here with him on a Visitor Record now. We've been married 3 years....and....still....waiting.....
Yes.
US passports are not stamped at the US/Canadian border when you cross by land. If they were going to grant her less than six months they would give her a visitor record which is a piece of paper saying how long she can stay, not a passport stamp
I'm sponsoring my husband for PR as we're living together in the US. We've received our AOR1 and I cannot for the life of me link our application online. Any advice? I've locked us out of both our GCKey accounts for three days now trying and trying every combination I can. I've submitted a tech request via their online submission thing, but is there anything else I can do or someone I can speak to?

Very common. Try leaving city and country of birth blank. Enter in passport info and make sure you are including your sponsor in the # of applicants (should be 2 if it's just you and sponsor). This does the trick for most people who have difficulties over the past couple of months.

Thanks. I'm including us both and have left birth city info blank among other tricks like filling out everything to filling out the bare minimum. I'm beginning to worry, is there really no recourse to contact CIC as an outland applicant?
Our background check started on November 17, which was just a little over 8 months for us, and we had decision made and PPR last week. Things seems to move at a different speed for everyone. I'm sure you will hear something very soon.
