Congratulations guys. From what I have seens now we should be getting ready for medical for those of us still waiting. Please share your medical experience, is there anything to worrry about?
I applied for PNP to BC Provincial in late Jan 2012. And I got the LOA in mid-Feb 2012.
So I'd say took less than a month in my case.
And For the Medical Check, It's pretty straight forward. One thing worth the note thou, is you might want to ask is the X-ray going to be done in the same clinic. If not, what time does the lab closes.
because in my case, I went in to the doctor and I found out the lab to do the X-ray screening is few block away, and it was getting late. So I needed to rush to the lab before it closes.
Could any one may please clarify:
I m frm Punjab ,India,
As There are two methods for the issue the PCC, one is from local SSP office and the another one is through Passport office.
Could any one please explain the difference in between these two different way of PCC. Is in both way they will issue a seperate certificate. Please explain.

Gurminder bhaji, you can get it from either of the two, there is no difference besides that if you apply to passport office then they will issue it to you and if you apply to SSP office then they will issue it to you. I took mine from Regional Passport office they took a nominal fee of INR 500.00. After i applied a police enquiry happened and after one month i was informed by Passport office to collect my PCC. The enquiry only happens if your passport is issued more than a year ago if not then they will give you the PCC hand to hand like in my wife's case. You can get it from anywhere which you think is easy for you to get it but remember one thing that they both are valid only for a year from the date of their issue so apply for it only once you are ready with all other documents.
I hope you have already referred to CIC website to understand from where to get the PCC, if not here it is:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp
Where are you from Punjab? I am in new delhi & is also Singh
I got a question. I am working in Canada right now. and I would like to go on a trip in Aug / Sept. which means i need my passport to get back into canada.
And i just did my medical check. Just wonder how long does it take the CIC to make a decision. ? and after they make a decision they will issue PPR.
Does it mean I need to hand in my passport ? ? Or I just do it at some visa office?
Because it doesn't make sense if we need to hand-in the passport for few months.
Does any one know the process after medical check?
There is no update with our application and it's been six weeks already. Please share what's the best way to inquire whether they returned our application or what. I sent them an email but I think it takes a long for them to reply. Thank you.
