Good afternoon, I need some assistance please. My wife is currently in Canada on her tourist visa which expires January 3rd, 2015. We got married in Serbia in April this year and I am a Canadian citizen. We filled out papers for work permit/inland application for her to stay in Canada but its still a long way away. I know you have to re-apply for her tourist visa extension 30 days before the visa expires and its fastly approaching. I am currently doing her papers right now and on IMM 5409 its asking Statutory Declaration of Common Law Union but we have a marriage certificate. Do i need to fill out this paper? Just because under solemn declaration its asking for a person who administered the declaration.
Please help me out with this, I am confused on what to do.
