Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

What is that pre-arrival letter? I got PPR after med and PCC. Did I miss anything? I was never able to connect to myCIC, got emails at every step.

After submitting PCC/RPRF, how long did it take to get PPR ?

Decision Made on PR application and got PPR yesterday from ottawa, but parents are in india, can i submit passports to VFS chandigarh? i sent email to CPC ottawa asking for instructions to send passports to New Delhi .

Why were you asked to do a second medical, may I ask? Is it because it has been too long or there are somethings that they need to look at? Thanks.

Because it was too long.
This happened in very many cases - the 2nd medical was requested because the 1st one had expired with no decision made by then.

After submitting PCC/RPRF, how long did it take to get PPR ?

CIC requested FBI clearance May 22
Provided as email attachment June 15
PPR June 19

After 1 day, they sent PPR (Note that 16th and 17th weekend)

Have received PR fees, PCC and travel history form request in Dec-2017 with 3 months timelines to submit.
Submitted Fee receipt, PCC (Canada and India), updated travel history form in Feb-2018 before the end of provided timeline.
NO RESPONSE after that. More than 4 months now.

If so, then the office has been awfully quiet..don't even respond to email.

yes unfortunately it is New Delhi.. not sure why they sent the file there as my mom is already in Canada on Super Visa and address was already updated before the file was sent to New Delhi...

I know...even we cry why they sent our file to godamm NDVO.
They are terrible at replying (i.e. no replies).
A bunch of useless people there.
Missing those days when the file was in better and more caring offices.

no, BC is still in process/ dont know, dad had a Goverment job/ just medical is 1 year old

My parents got the PPR request but because we were on 2 weeks vacation, they will be submitting passports now. They can do it in the local VFS office so they don't have to send passports anywhere. The request came on 26th June, 2017. The online tool shows Decision Made. Dad will give the passports in local VFS office this week and hopefully things will happen soon after that.
