Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

VW Express delivered my application at 8.10 AM with all the other ones. Now I am wondering why I paid more for the first in line delivery
Well, as long as it gets there within the cap.

Whatever you paid, i and everyone outside of GTA, would gladly pay. Consider yourself lucky. You are at huge advantage because you can deal with local courier.

Rest of us with fedupslator, are still wondering if we will make the cut or not

Sure it can. If the first delivery guy had 700 - there's your 700.

I highly doubt Happyroad had 700 applications.

I called puralator customer service and she said the driver was there way before 9am delivery but he has 700 applications to deliver so he will take some time to scan them and update the status online. I don't know who is right

Hope you are right Pamma97... That is also what I think. They will update us after the 700 plus application was done and put the time when the CIC received the first application.

Guys I have bad news. The agent just said "The driver hasn't attempted delivery yet". She said packages are still on truck with the driver. I really doubt 700 applications are gonna make it.

I am wondering if this is the status most people see for the above case

Last year, a courier guy decided to leave the line to return later when it gets shorter. smart ass....
this 700 applications purolator guy is a bigger smart ass....must have decided to come later when there is perhaps no line

Cic seriously need to change how thry accept applications.

Shipping variable is out of our control

Omg I just called again and an agent said the same thing as you did except she said driver might still be in the process of completed 700 deliveries at the location. I am not even sure what to believe.

$200... At hindsight, I could've saved a few bucks by selecting another option, if they were going to deliver all applications together! Well, as long as it is within the quota, I would be ok with the extra bucks spent!

same here. If anybody could guarantee me within the quota, I'd be OK with $5000 delivery charge.

yup got confirmation of delivery from VW at 8:10, but really dont care about what they charged....making it in as first is important, i'll look for a bargain when i go grocery shopping next, not here...glad i chose local courier

how do you know it? I send my package from montreal porlator for 9am delivery. status is still intransit.
why the hell they did it to us...now i feel like im will not be able to make it ..

Local couriers do take application delivery service for out of town customer.

Hey, Just wondering, your status says that you landed in 2015, how were you able to sponsor parents without 3 years of NOAs?

I landed in 2015 as a PR, but I am in Canada since 2011, as a PhD scholar till April 2013 and then on Work permit as a Pharmacist. So Basically I have met income requirement for 3 years. Hope that met the requirement

Probably either has a cosponsor who is Canadian and had been in Canada for years before them or worked in Canada for a number of years as a foreign worker / on a PGWP before becoming a PR. There are lots of ways this can work.
