Hello all! I'm not sure if I'm in the right place anymore as it has been over a year since we have had any movement on my mom's file.

Yesterday she finally got an email from CIC giving her a huge list of paperwork to complete in ONE MONTH!!! We are in a panic now and it honestly doesn't make sense.

They are asking for

1. Her divorce certificate which we already provided. Why again?
2. Medical which shouldn't be much of an issue except she has to travel half a state away to get.
3. FBI check....a month? She's going to get fingerprinted today but I highly doubt it will be back to her within the time frame needed.
4. CV resume. What is this? She's retired? Why do they need this?
5. IMM 5562 Which is the least of our worries but I do wonder why they want it now?
6. Right of Perm Residence fee.

Ugh we are so frustrated and now doubly stressed because they stated,"If we do not receive a response within the time allotted to you from the date of this notice, a decision will be made based on the information on your file, which could result in the refusal of your application." but then also say, "The above information/documents must be received in our office within 90 days from the date of this letter. FBI certificates or proof of application for same must be provided within 90 days from the date of this letter."

So which is it?

Can someone share thoughts on the following:

1. CV/Resume:
- How much detail are they looking for?
- is there a sample someone can share pls?
- my dad has been self-employed for last approx 30 years. do they need any docs on that?
- before being self-employed he was working with small private companies and doesn't necessarily have all the employment documents - ?? - is that an issue here?
- For his education - we do not have all the documents - will they ask for it?

After CIC paused Parents & Grandparents Sponsorship Program (PGP) back in Nov, 2011 for 24 months in order to eliminate backlogs, it re-opened the program with 5,000 cap (FCFS/FIFO method) on the number of applications in 2014. Soon it turned out to be a big challenge to make it to 5,000 cap.

Yes I think its very normal. I have seen it in many other forums including this one that its asked.

Don't worry about it. Just fill in the CV like you would normally and send it.
