Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

got cc charged for one application yesterday. I have sent two (for mother and mother in law) via UPS from Thunder Bay, ON. got charge of $55o yesterday. not sure for which application, because I used same CC for both application, Stupid me
It was UPS 6:31 AM batch

Addendum: second CC charge got today.
Both applications were sent via UPS 6:31 AM batch.

I used this trick when I had applied for my PR.... since I already had a UCI, I was able to login to my application centre on CIC's website and came to know my file had been accepted even before getting AOR... I got AOR 3 weeks after I was able to login...

Not sure if it will work for Parent sponsorship.

Wow, it works. I used the UCI number for my father, he got UCI when he applied for tourist visa. But the status says only: "We received your application for permanent residence on January 4, 2016." Nothing about AOR etc.

"Doesn't work" - you mean you are not able to login or status line is blank?

Good to know that. My parents previously applied for tourist visas, but where would I find those UCI numbers?

When your parents's request for visa was approved they received the letter with passport request from CIC. There is a UCI number on the top left corner of that letter.

You will receive email from CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca. Currently applicants whose CCs were charged on 8th Jan are getting File Number.

Hopefully we are next! So far, 3 all from HR. Congrats

"Information not found" and it tells me that either the cheque has not been cashed or the information has not been entered yet in the system.

Did you use the 'new entry' tab when you tried updating the SS?
