You just Google “refugees recognized in Canada” and download the form. Fill it out, sign with a blue ink, mail it to the address mentioned on the said form. And then just wait.

Hi, I am a refugee.
Applied for PR through Portal: Sept 2023
Received AOR: 20 Dec, 2023
Received Letter for Biometrics of Principal applicant: 20 Dec, 2023
Dependant Received a checklist of documents to send : 20 Dec, 2023

So my question is: my husband received a checklist of documents which includes all the forms i have already submitted and Police report.

do i resubmit his documents? do he send his docs directly or i can send them too? We are selected for concurrent pilot project

any update after biometrics?

I applied on dec 14 they send me the AOR on feb 5.

I applied for my Permanent Residence (In Canada Refugee) in the end of December 2023.
I received an email yesterday (Feb 2nd, 2024) with the application number saying your application is received. I linked it to my account and I see the following:

Review of eligibility

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results

• February XX, 2024 You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents

• We do not need additional documents.

Interview

• You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics

• We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check

• Not applicable.

Final decision

• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Can someone advise:
1- What to expect next?
2- Where can I click to see a progress bar? there is nowhere I clicked that showed it.

Hey, so good to hear from you but not so good to know that you are also waiting like me :-(.

I applied for PR in September 2021 and since then pending background check. last week I called IRCC and they said they will send a follow up request to the processing officer. After 2 days I received an email from processing office saying "Communication regarding the next steps to finalize your application will be sent to you in the near future"

Anyone went through same experience can provide insight on timeline

Any update on your file? I applied mine in September 2021, 31 months down already. Still waiting. They are stuck on background check and eligibility from long time. IRCC helpline is very transparent and detailed oriented. They just brief me about sending message to processing officer. MO office told me processing time will be around 50 months, since my case wasn’t accepted by IRB, it was accepted by RAD after the appeal was filed. It’s frustrating, nowhere it’s mentioned that processing time is different for people accepted by IRB, and people accepted by RAD or court.
