I am not surprised with the timeline, unfortunately. They are already slow enough as it is for visa exempt. We were 10.5 months applicant from Ireland. Pakistan is not visa exempt (adds complexity)

I seen many post from Pakistan applicants got decision those who applied in July and August but mine is stuck they don't ask me more documents and I have send them two email within 60 days and got same reply like file is waiting for full review. Very frustrating.

After about 4 months of working on this application (everything takes twice as long with a newborn baby!), we are finally ready to submit our common law family class application!
This might be a stupid question but what courier have people used to post applications from the UK to Canada?? I'm the sponsor (Canadian citizen living in UK) and have a healthy mistrust of Royal Mail after some bad experiences with them over the years. I'm interested to know who else I can send it with and approximate cost of the shipping if anyone knows it?

I sent mine Royal Mail track and trace - mistake! Yes, Royal Mail are quick and you can track and trace it all the way until they shove it on a plane for Canada - then Canada Post take over and do - precisely nothing! Took 2.5 weeks to get from the plane for Canada until it was delivered in Mississauga.

Personally, I would strongly recommend FEDEX - they track and trace every steps of the way in both countries as it stays in FEDEX. Take 4 days max to get there as they also seem to have their own customs clearance facilities. About £55 all in.

Do remember that it is a different address for courier deliveries that need to be signed for,

Thank you Hurlabrick! I've had my share of bad experiences with Canada Post too, so I was very sceptical of the whole thing! I'll be off to the FedEx depot on Wednesday hopefully and then will post details here to add to the spreadsheet. Thanks again

Hey everyone!
Nov 2017 applicant here - LVO.

My background check was started (according to GCKey) in late April, no updates in ECAS or MyCIC since then.

Did ECAS change for anyone when BGC started? ECAS still shows "Application Received". I also haven't received anything about transferring my app to the LVO yet.

SA, Sch A, Med Request Jan 2018
Med Passed March 2018
