Thanks Lys!! We are over the moon :D I am seeing a lot of people who seemed to process in 5 months so I m keeping my fingers crossed!

WHAT HAPPENED TO ROCKY636.......DID U GET UR PPR?

got PPR today :D :D ;D

Guyz, FYI:

There is an update on "CIC Application Processing stats. outside Canada" on CIC Website. The statistic timeframe is July 1 2009 to June 30 2010. If I remember correctly, the earlier timeframe was Jan 1 2009 to Dec. 31 2009.

@ Delhi: 30% apps. used to get finalized in 2 months but now it takes 3 months and 50% apps. take 3 months as well, just like last time. But the processing time all over has gotten better it seems! Good luck!

Thank u cyanmaple....

yes xyrus,i too saw it and was really excited...because for dependant children it used be 2-13 months and now its 2-7 months....
for spouses its 3-5 months instead of 2-6 months...

since i got my PPR and its a standard computer generated letter,i want to be clear with the following things....

it asks us to send landing fee(has the sponsor had to send it to missisauga?), police clearance, passport and a copy of the PPR letter.

so am i correct if i send the following?

1.photocopy of PPR letter with barcode sticked to it
2.Passport of my baby who is the applicant(should i stick the barcode on front side or back side of PP?)
3.No police clearance for babies---so im not sending it
4.cover letter

now, i guess there is no landing fee for dependant children less than 22yrs. am i right? so there isnt any need to send it to my baby right?

plz guys...do clarify...thanks

I put the bar code sticker on the front side of both PPs, current and old.
I also pasted it on my latest Police Clearance Certificate issued by Deputy Commissioner's Office, Gurgaon, Haryana as my previous one expired a week before we submitted the app. at CPC, Mississauga.
Did not put it on the copy of letter issued by them thinking its not an official original doc.
Pasted it on the front of the envelope, but someone on the forum mentioned that the File # is supposed to be confidential so im not sure if it was a good thing to do. Just thought they could identify my envelope instantly with ease =)
Also sent a cover letter specifying the list of enclosures. No bar code sticker on it too!

I think bar codes are for docs. which are important, can be easily identified and to ensure it does not get lost in a pile!

Hope this helps. All the best!

Thanks Bob's Wife ;) I am actually feeling awesome! It's very early so I'm not going to let CIC know just yet. Actually, other than my hubby you're all the first to know. We keep it quiet for a while.
