Hey everyone,

I think I am at the end of this road...My husband received a couple of letters from the embassy this past week. The first, was emailed to him on October 1st, requesting his passport only, to be sent to the embassy, and they wrote "We are pleased to advise that your Permanent Resident Visa is almost ready to be issued." I am guessing that this is the last step in terms of the process for sponsorship, and that no interviews, etc. will be required?

My husband also got a letter in the mail today (written on September 23rd), saying that the application was receieved on September 20th in Warsaw.

If this is the final step for us (sending in the passport), then I am very surprised! I had expected to still be waiting until January/February.

Well, hubby finally got the letter yesterday, dated Sept 30.

He's required to send in a state police certificate from California (I expected that one) and court documents including disposition for all charges. We have to get that submitted within 90 days.

So much for wishing for a speedy application. :'(

I am so happy that I have been able to get through this, with the help and support of everyone on this forum. All of my nerves, freaking out, and stress, were for nothing. I wish that everyones applications are successful, without any worries or upsets. Good luck to you all, and on your futures with your partners!

Nyssa, I think the AOR was on September 23rd, as far as I understand what that means. They wrote the letter (AOR), stating they received our application on September 20th at the embassy in Warsaw. They sent an email, requesting the passport, on October 1st. Let me know if I have my terms wrong!

Also, I wanted to know how it works from here? Will they send him anything in New Delhi? or what is the procedure?

Kess for receiving official AOR (Don't worry, at least it's a state certificate, not an FBI that takes 2-3 months!! Good luck, my fingers are crossed for you!)! And sourblush for your "In Process"! Well Tuesday has come and gone and no changes to my status, it's still not available, not "in process".
By the way, in my letter of approval it said that if I had sent my original sponsorship agreement to them that I would be receiving it back and they would copy it. I did receive a copy back, I did not send the original in the first place. I sure hope they made a copy because they took the copy out and returned it to me. ??

Should be fine. Probably just got the papers mixed up. Shouldn't really matter now that you are approved as a sponsor.
