I'm curious...how do I put a little list under my name that gives all my dates? Oh...another question...how often does the cic page update letting us know what dates they are working on?

Unfortunately, they don't update often. They will update when your application is in process and when a "decision has been made" on your application for both sponsorship and then after being in process at your visa office.

we got the approval letter from CPC Missisaugua, now the application has been transferred to NEW DELHI,

I got the letter today but it was dated 15 sep
So, technically, we got approved in 28 days!

CONGRATS sourblush .. Our timelines r very near by.. Mine got approved on 7th Sep.. so, a week difference
Lets hope for faster processing at New Delhi

my husband just got the AOR today dated Sept 14. According to the letter they are requesting tons of documents..police check from brunei( bcoz my husband lived there for about 5 yrs), voter's id, advisory of marriage,birth cert from the local govnt etc and original passport..... --does that mean PPR? they gave us 45days to complete all requirements..i wonder when will we complete all of these.

Wow... how confusing. I honestly don't know what to make of that. Hopefully you can get the police check back ASAP. Original passport? That makes me think it's a PPR. Hmm, if so... WOW, THAT WAS FAST.

Anyone else have any insight?

While they are asking for the passport I'm not sure it's because they are "ready to issue the visa". They obviously need those extra documents to verify something. I've seen other posts where the passports are requested very early in the process and hung on to for a long time. Keeping my fingers crossed that they send it back quickly!

u'r right kess, that's what we knew..but we are looking forward, backward, and sideways that whenever we sent all those documents then they will immediately work on the visa . So all we have to do now is work on those docs and wait

Congrats on the AOR, spiro!!! Though I'm really sorry to hear about all the additional information you need to provide. I agree it sounds incredebly confusing. Voter's ID??? I hope you can obtain all of it swiftly and your process continues to move along at this rate!

YES!! Hahaha. It's true though, remember, worst case scenerio?: Delays and interview. Which isn't so bad really, given you can still give them the documents required and explain your situation! Everything will work out, just read my signature spiro!

Hey spiro!!

Good to know there's another august applicant that's being processed in Manila. It's usual for the Canadian Embassy in Manila to ask the passport immediately. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're ready to issue the visa. It can still take a month or two, maybe even longer before you get the passport back. I guess it's just the way they do things in Manila. As for the other documents, just send them asap! From what I've read, after requesting documents if they're fully convinced, then comes the passport back with the visa. If not they'll ask for more documents or maybe even an interview. Here's something to cheer you up, I've read in an article one time (can't remember now which article and when) that the refusal rate for Manila is... 8%. Great news right?
