I just received my AOR in the mail today. Kess, I stand corrected because I forgot about the little stickers you get in the mail

I must admit, the AOR was incredebly disappointing. I though there would be SOME kind of information in it but it was THE most generic couple pieces of paper you could imagine, hahaha. "If" this, "If" that...
Nice to see that the AOR's are flowing quickly again!
Hey nyssa, just wanted to check in on you girl.
How are you and the hubby doing? How is the process going?
Looks like things are moving fast and won't be too long for you? I am thinking of you two.
Hopefully we will still be in touch by the time I get to land too.

Yeah I figured there would be a letter to follow since there was only the one paragraph in the email. At least we know its in process.

7 or 8 months for sponsorship approval?! That doesn't sound right...
Wow, nassy .... it's one more step for you... ;D
but, please don't wait for my update about AOR... I didn't see many people who processing in singapore receive the AOR..( yet.)

Anyways, I hope we all get PPR soon..
Hi all. I'm new to this discussion, so hi to you all! I wanted to keep quiet until I had a bit more positive news. We received news that my partner has been approved as a sponsor on 9th September and that my application has been forwarded to the London visa office!! Yippee, the real process has started. Has anyone got any experience from the London office?

Love_Young - I sent you a PM!
LoveThai - You'll get it soon enough! It's not like the AOR is anything exciting anyways, hahaha. My family kept thinking it was bad news, I just sat there staring going, "This is it?" Singapore is a pretty fast visa office, isn't it? At least I hope so!
Worried and Confused! - When did you send your application? When was it received by CIC? I'd love to add you to the list! Lots of London apps in August! 8)
Hi nyssa
I sent my application form on 9th August, they received it on 11th August. We received a letter on 17th September saying that my partner had been approved as a sponsor on 9th Sept. What is the process after this? I would love to have my PR status by Christmas, but this might be wishful thinking!

Good luck to everyone!
I added you! Though I had to shorten your name up a bit to keep the chart looking right, I hope that's okay :
The next step is finding out from London that your application is In Process. Ecas will tell you this, and so will a letter or e-mail which confirms this. A letter with barcode stickers will come to you as the applicant and this is called the AOR, or Acknowledgment of Receipt. London is a pretty fast office usually, so good luck!!
Great, thanks will keep you posted. When I log into ecas, do I use my partners details or my own? Also, when this process starts what is the likelihood of having to send them additional information? Do I have to send them my passport? Thanks for your help
