About to apply very soon. Nervous and excited at the same time. Hoping for a fast process.

Question: Who did their police check in advance? We decided to wait til they request it (we did do the medicals in advance though) because we are living in the UK at the moment and will be easier when we have the formal request letter to send someone on my husbands behalf. I'm curious what others have done.

I wish to announce that Accra sent me an email today informing me that my wifes visa appeared to be ready. They are requesting for her passport, 2 passports photographs and form IMM8.
Does anyone know if DHL is best for this service? Please tell me how to go about it, thanks.

Could you please tell me how long it took to receive your visa from the day you sent your passport to Accra?

@ mfaith thank you so much. They gave my wife 15 days to send in her documents so she's sending them on Monday. I'm hoping that she'll get her visa soon.

@ Divine favour She was not called for interview this time. She was called for interview back in 2012 when I tried to sponsor her the first time but they refused her then I reapplied again last year.

Can someone please recommend a good hotel in Accra close to the embassy to stay in for 1 night prior to interview.

Emini, Airport View Hotel is about 3mins from the airport and 10min to the High Commission.
