I am wondering if hubby should be applying for the FBI and USA clearance. AVO requested that we send re-medical, police clearance, Passport and some other documents within 15 days. We intend sending all the documents and a note saying we started the process to get FBI and US police clearance.
Is this a good idea?

@BSwath, It depends. Has the Principal applicant ever lived in the US for more than 6 months? Did Accra ask for FBI report? If not, then no need.

This is a good idea.

We all in the same boat . Hubby applied for FBI clearance which we’re waiting for but we sent everything else they requested

I suggest you send everything they ask and attach a letter telling them you apply for the FBI clearance
Let hope they will weave the FBI clearance

I think the delay at AVO is an African thing. Many 2017 applicants from London, Singapore, Paris and even India are in Canada with their spouses. Someone should tell me it is not so. Lack of concern for citizens is at the highest in Africa. How do you expect these guys to respond to our emails or plights when our leaders care less? I weep for Africa!

We were asked to provide just FBI clearance

I think they didn’t ask for the state clearance coz we did that and sent it with our application when we first apply

Yes and yes

If they've asked for it, then you should definitely order it then as you mentioned. Then email AVO proof that you have ordered it, but it looks like it will take more that the 15 day deadline.

So if you got AOR in Sep of 2016, I’m guessing you applied in August?

Did they request for state clearance as well from your hubby? Yes you should start the process for whichever they asked for ASAP and let them know you have.

Just here wondering why AVO didnt request my passport when they requested medicals and police clearances even though they sent passport requests to other people who have been asked to provide their FBI clearance. Its annoying to spend all this money back and forth from Nigeria to Ghana which is even more expensive that Nigeria to USA!

Quick question for those who have gotten their visas. If you were asked for remedicals, were you able to tell when your results go to AVO from your GC account or ECAS without sending AVO any proof? Im asking because the hospital (ABUJA CLINICS), said there is no proof of remedicals for me because I came with an IME form and they only have proof for those doing upfront medicals.
