Are there any cases that ECAS updated other days than Wed?

I noticed that the status in myCIC went from Submitted to Updated for a few seconds earlier today. It was a total coincidence that I saw it considering the number of times I check both myCIC and ECAS. This same thing happened a day or so before they asked me for FBO PCC and before I one of those system generated (ghost) emails. I'm hoping today's update means there might be some change tomorrow...

Applicants from outside the US/Canada need to send passports to their local visa office.

Oh okay.. So I'm in Canada right now but shall be leaving for India end of this month..Is it possible to get my PR visa from a visa office in India or am i suppose to get back to Canada and get it from here? Any ideas

Could anyone answer my below question?
If a person is working in Canada for an year on LMIA based Work permit and if it expires and if he applied for Open work permit and continuing his work with the same employer, Will he be considered as working on LMIA based job? Will he get 600 points in Express entry? Just curious to know as I fall under this category after a month. My current Work permit expires on Dec 2015...

I am no expert so please don't go by my words alone. Are you leaving for India for good? If so, you should request PPR from the LVO. If yours is going to be a short stay, it should be possible for you to send your passport to Ottawa. I believe CIC gives 30 days for passport submission. Experienced forum members will hopefully correct me if I've misstated anything.

Did the email ask you to fill out any particular form? If not, here's CIC's travel history form (IMM5562)--also known as the Supplementary Information form:

You won't be able to open this file in a web viewer. You'll first have to download it and then use the proper Adobe Acrobat reader to view and edit it.

No, under an open work permit you won't be eligible for the 600 points.
