Yey! So it is moving then. We just have to find out how fast they can process our applications.

The sad thing is that Canada Post's drivers that were under contract in Nova Scotia are on strike right now. This will probably affect August applicants. I will suggest that August applicants use a courier instead for the meantime.

Now I'm really kicking myself about not sending it via courier. I mailed ours yesterday via USPS and this strike has me very concerned. Do you have any sense of it is expected to be prolonged? Do you think it would be a good idea to resend via courier and try to contact CIC to cancel the one sent via post?

I saw that one family received today AOR from Sydney...

Yes, you got the latest update as of this morning. They're resuming work this Friday morning because employees were on strike since Wednesday - 2 days ago. Canada Post, probably, didn't mention anything because it's not their employees directly, but it's the employees of a company that they contracted to do delivery on their behalf. They previously mentioned in a news article that they will not give any comments.

Hey! The latest is June 20 applications received getting AOR1. The inland (Mississauga) applications are much faster though. July 16 applications are already receiving AOR1s.

Yes. Everything has been transferred to Sydney CPC already, including those originally sent to Mississauga.

I am so worried my app which was received n Mississauga on june 29 might get returned.. am praying that it gets to Sydney safely & AOR1 be given to us hopefully this August. Good luck to us all

So far, all applications received at Mississauga on june 11 onwards were transferred to Sydney. Keep in mind that not everybody receives AOR, for instance, a June 21 applicant received SA email yesterday but they never received AOR, so hang in there, you should hear good news soon.
