Suggestions required for Spousal PR

I am currently working in Canada and recently got my ITA under CEC class and I am going to submit my application soon.

Currently I am planning to get married AFTER I get my PR card in hand (i.e after landing, once everything is confirmed for myself). Marrying before I get my PR is NOT an option.

Can my wife immediately apply for her spousal PR after we get married? Or we have to wait a year to apply the PR once we are married.

It can be immediately. There is no wait period..

You still may be separated for 1 year but yes apply once you return to Canada.

That’s what I will do too. But all u need to do is to complete your landing. PR card on hand doesn’t finalize your PR status
