Hi,

I am a international student at centennial college. i have a problem that i am worried of. my study permit and my visa expires on 24- april 2013 and my final exam ends on 23 - april. so my study permit and visa is expiring the next day i complete my exams. the issue is that for applying for a post graduate work permit i need to have a valid study permit. my study permit is expiring on the next day of my final exam . so what should i do to apply for a PGWP if my studypermit is expired on the next day of my exams.. please help... urgent... thanks...

Extend your study permit.

Not to worry. As PMM said extend your study permit and this will be a bridging study visa meaning even tho your program is finished you will still get that I believe for 90 days for the time you will be waiting to get your PGWP. You can ask your university for it and if not call CIC. Its not a unique situation and happens to many students.Hope it helps.

Yes, also I believe that you can extend your study permit as long as you have not convocated, but as long as you've applied for the PGWP, you should be fine.

Hey you need to ensure that your passport expiration date is not in april 2013. you need to renew your student permit asap. you need a paper from your college that states the possible date of your graduation or anything else that proves you will still be studying after april 23rd; to apply for the renewal of your study permit
