I have a brother currently in Canada on a visitor’s visa and want to submit for study permit. If I selected current country of residence as Canada, It will automatically says he’s not eligible but if I select his home country as current country of residence, he would be eligible.I have read online that he should select home country as current country of residence even though he’s presently in Canada. Question: Has anyone be in this situation and know how to navigate this ??? If he select home country as current country of residence, isn’t that misrepresentation? Given that fact that his passport would show these dates

He is a visitor so he applies from home country. It is not misrespresentation because there are only a few circumstances for people in Canada to apply inland. He has to show his ties to home country as well as career/education progression when he returns. Being a visitor makes his profile weaker if he cannot show ties to home country.

Thanks for your response. Do you mean he can select home country as current country of residence even though he’s currently in Canada. As for tie, sure he will show all of that
