Study Permit Extension

Hi! I have a question with regards to student permit & owp extension.

1. If I apply for an 8-month program and wants to pursue another diploma (2 years program) in the same school once finished, when do I file for student permit extension? Should I be accepted first in my 2nd chosen program prior applying for extension?

2. Should I apply for student permit extension together with my spouse’s OWP?

3. Do we need to present again financial documents for extension?

4. Will my spouse also get an “implied status” once his OWP expires but with ongoing application for extension?

I applied by myself... but now I am thinking to contact an agent... what do you think? I came here the last year and I applied by myself too and everything was correct and the process took 7 weeks.. but now this process is taking forever...

Mine expired on August...the college I am doing my program in , accepted only my submission for the extension...but my boy wasn’t allowed to be registered in the public school! Hope we have answers soon !

I guess you will get the decision soon. Most of the applicants, who have a delay, in this thread, applied for their extension with their family.

I applied for extension on 11th July, Single. I haven't heard from them as of today and I am worried because my school says that I have until 18th sept to submit study permit or I wont be enrolled in classes. I don't know what to do

There is not much to do! Just wait and hope for the best! I think you can expect an update soon! Keep us posted

Applied on July 19th.
First account update (started reviewing my eligibility) - August 27th.
Second account update (ghost update) - September 5th.
Approval - September 6th.
