study permit extension

I have got 1 year visa for my 8 months of diploma course, That means i will get 8 months of work permit after the completion of my course.
By any chance can i extent my study visa??
If yes then when can i apply?? before or after the completion of the course??
And how many years of work permit will i get if i continue another course which will be i think of another 8 month(in all 16 moths).

1. You can extend SP, get new admission/LOA & apply minimum 3 months before current SP expiry. Gap between 2 courses must not exceed 2 years
2. Minimum 16 months.

Hey J5M I have query , I got visa for one year course from sept to aug2015 and I want to opt a new course in george brown college and the program starting date is dec 28, 2016. My study visa limit is 30 nov. 2015. So can I extend it . Is it possible to extend it after completion of previous course.

Provided you submit 1st term fee paid receipt + LOA + passing transcript & apply before SP expiry. Current processing time is 13 days.
