Study Permit Extension for Dependents

Hi! Is medical exam a requirement in applying for dependents' study permit extension if the previous exam is within 12 months?
My children have taken their medical exams in Canada and they have been here for 8 months now, so I just want to confirm with those
who applied for their dependents' study permit extension.

1. As long as they don't leave Canada for 6 months or more to scheduled country they don't require another medical.

Thank you PMM. Can you please share the link to this? I have filled up the PGWP application together with applying for my dependents' study permit extension through my IRCC account, and it says it is required. I am actually wondering why.
