I applied for a study permit extension on May 12 and my current one is already expired on July 31. I called the CIC call centre a few times and the agent said they put a note on my application but the office hasn't replied. My MSP and everything are also expired on July 31 and I couldn't extend it because of the permit delay

When I apply for the study permit extension, I also checked "yes" for a coop work permit, is that why it causes the delay? No message updates except for the confirmation of the application submission. It's been 5 months now, I am seriously considering to submit a new application. Does anyone apply in May has the same situation as me?
