I had an academic sanction of one year and was not in Canada studying during that year. This sanction was given by the university. It is clearly indicated on my transcript and I have also attached a Letter of Explanation to my application. My application was transferred to the Canada Immigration Centre located in Etobicoke for processing. Saying they would contact me but it is exceeding processing time. How long would it take to evaluate my application? And how do I contact the required agent to learn more about my specific application case.

You cannot contact an agent. All you can do is raise a webform. Your case is unusual so current processing times are not relevant to your case.

Hi, my case is similar to yours. I had an 8-month study gap because I failed my first semester and could only retake the courses next fall, which were prerequisites for the second semester courses. I gave an explanation letter and official documents from the university. Recently, my application was sent to Etobicoke for eligibility assessment. I am very concerned about my application. May I know if you got your permit and if you took any extra steps to pass the eligibility assessment?
