My wife was going to be a student, but changed her mind. The school only refunded for study permit denial. We requested a study permit (at the border, US Citizens), and asked for it to be denied. The officer thought it was silly but did it for us.

You will need to mention this on any Canada visa application going forward.

There's no way to cancel. All you need to do is not travel to Canada.

Also, can I begin my GIC refund process since I have withdrawn from the institution? Also, I completed my spring term and, since then, have yet to enrol in any course. Will I get a refund if I have not taken any classes since my counsellor told me that my visa expires after four months if you are not enrolled in any courses? Please let me know. The date of expiry on my visa is 2025.

Hi

I had applied for a Canadian student visa early in Feb 2018 and got an approval of my visa as well. I went there for my studies but due to some family reasons I had to return to India and when I came back I even cancelled my study permit in order to get my GIC refund back into my bank account, now that my family problem has resolved can I re apply for a Canadian student visa and again resume my studies from a different college?
