Same Situation and Same timeline as you. Last updated was on 26 March 2024, stuck in Security Clearing forever. No update

Did you get Fingerprints request last year?
I got it second time this Nov , last ones Nov 2023 valid for 1 year only

I did not get even once. I think for my case they are taking the one given for PR 4 year back, that still hold valid.

It's selective, not everyone gets it, but whoever gets its valid for one year. It's needed for the Criminality part of Background check. If you never got means you passed Criminality without FP requirement.

Got it, Checked my gcms notes... Criminality is passed for me. Seems for me it is struck in other parts of background check then.... Not sure which one is taking such a long time.. I dont have any travel history, like just one country of birth and another is Canada.

Many of us stuck in Security Screening, some people waiting 2 yrs . No idea what's the selection criteria that puts us in that waiting list.

Just adding my timeline:
Applied Nov29 2023, AOR DEC14 2023. Still waiting on SS. Last update I saw from a person said their SS was completed 18 months after their AOR.

I also monitor the "GCMS Security Screening" thread in the express entry group just to get an idea of progress (they have more people there sharing timelines), looks like they are also on average 16 - 18 months after AOR for security to complete.
