No, you’re not in the same situation. You’re not a PR. You may have a COPR, but you haven’t landed yet, so on that important detail , you’re not eligible

You are eligible i call CRA yesterday they ask me its not your current status of residence
And yes you are stucked because of COVID-19 flights are not going. Thats why you are eligible and can apply.

Being in india on vacation is not an issue if you meet the other requirements you are elligable, suggest you apply, let the government determine elligibility, they might ask you to pay it back eventually.
I'm stuck in my hometown due to the flight cancellation, but I still have to pay my mortgage, condo fee, home and car insurance etc. So am I counted as a "resident" of Canada?

There really needs to be clarification about the word resident. Also there needs to be clarification of what would be considered job loss if you have been not working and abroad for months.
