Hi Guys,
Can i Apply for cerb now?..

Regarding CERB, My work Permit got expired in April 2019 and i have applied for extension and received a Visitor Visa upto oct 2019. Again i have applied for extension and received upto April 2020. On april 2020 i applied for extension but on May 2020 i have received my Permanent Residence (COPR) Documnet. From Jan 2019 to April 2019 i have worked as a self employee and income was more than $5000 as the cerb requirement.

Here is my question am i eligible to apply for cerb or not. If i apply now it does it going to be any issue because i haven't worked from April 2019 to until my PR Approval but i did worked 1st quater of the year 2019. FYI till now i haven't received PR card.

No one is giving me proper explanation can i apply to cerb or not. I hope i might get some answers.

If you qualify , you apply . If you don’t qualify , you don’t

yeah but before expiring Work permit I have worked 4 months as self employee right and i filed my taxes too.

You didn’t lose your Canadian job due to covid so you shouldn’t have applied in May and expect that you will have to pay it all back if you did apply.

That’s good because there will be penalties for those who applied for CERB when they didn’t qualify.
