This is the email address that we used: abu-dhabi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca
They will mail you the request letter. You need to present that letter to Dept of Foreign Affairs (not sure if this is the real name of the dept, it's my husband who did this). Then I think they will stamp the letter and then you bring that letter to police dept. I think it takes 3-4 weeks to get the police clearance..
We sent the police clearance with our application to CIC Missisauga. Then it's CIC who transferred our docs to Abu Dhabi..
CIC Missisauga send me letter ur fill is transfer in Abu Dhabi if u want to submit any doc send to Abu Dhabi but I try above email its not going through :'(

Oh, you already sent your application. In that case, I don't know which is better. You wait instruction from them when to get police clearance or be proactive to get it ahead and just send it to vissa office even they are not asking for it yet. For sure, they will ask it from you, just don't know when as probably they have'nt opened your file yet. Getting police clearance in Saudi takes a while so it's up to you if you wanna get it ahead. But standard is, it should have been included in your application package when you send it to CIC per their guidelines in complete the application form. But there's no problem if it's not in your original application package, they can ask it from you, it will just cause some delay though.
Here is their website where we got their email address:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/uae-eau/offices-bureaux/visas.aspx?lang=eng&view=d
You can use "case specific inquiries" link to ask some questions directly to visa office. You just need to fill out their forms online. We've used this a couple of times and it worked. Visa office replied in all our inquiries, though some of their replies took some time but still they replied to us.

How could they make mistake with regards to that? That sounds very unorganized...
yup! totally unbelievable! But anyway, they are also human being so mistakes can be acceptable if they were able to make it right. And I'm sooo happy that when I opened my ECAS today it states that they begun processing our papers. At least we're not blinded about the application even it's still a long road ahead.
Could you please include me in the spreadsheet of abu dhabi applicants? Here's my time line, I still dont know how to put the timeline on profile ;D..
Application filed: May 16, 2012
Received in Mississauga : May 17, 2012
Medical done : April 25,2012
AOR received: Aug. 17, 2012
Transferred to VO: September 17, 2012 ( assumed)
Document request: October 21, 2012
Document submitted: November 26, 2012
January 28, 2013: In process
And also, I think that inquiry via MP really helps! After they told our MP that they are going to review our file and were sorry about the wrong reply for the first inquiry, they updated my ECAS immediately!

Is this your first tym to access your Ecas status? You cannot open it if you have entered any information incorrectly. Like for example, in my case at first I typed my husband's whole name, but it was only asking for surname.. If you are gonna use the client ID (8-digits) use the sponsor's information, if using the Immigration no. (FXXXXXXXXX) type the applicant's information. Hope that helps!
