You know what really bugs me is that lets say you didn't contact them through your MP and than after so many months would pass and they didn't let you know that they didn't receive the doc's,,, you would not have known that... the only reason you know now is through the MP otherwise
God knows how long it would have taken and they don't even reply to simple inquiries from the applicant and the sponsor, so you wud have just kept waiting.... I think that is sooo NOT right..

hello.. you can contact your local MP. For us, I just searched on the website for the list of local MPs and my husband checked the addresses. At first he called one from pickering i think but could not give the ryt answer and couldn't even open our file! Then we tried Rathika, my husband went to the office personally and scheduled for an appointment. Then the MP sent inquiry to abu dhabi, and after a week, we learned that they haven't received my documents..or maybe they lost it :-[
could you also post your old timeline as well???
thanks

yes you're ryt..we thought that we are waiting for something since we've already provided all the things they needed.. its so bad that we've lost 2 months of our processing tym..but this was just a trial, hope we could pass this through and get ourselves back to the road line. I'm still hoping for the best, I just wanted to be with my husband.. Couples shouldn't be away from each other, esp. young couples coz how are we goin' to start a family like this? Anyways, thanks for all the replies. Really helps!
i regret the delay to reply
my friend applied to Abu Dhabi office in 29-FEB 2012 and he got the visa on 01-DEC-2012 ( after 9 month )
i applied on 29-FEB-2012 on Abu Dhabi office ( same date )
my wife living in Canada and she came here to spend some time with me and she come back again
last time they ask me for documents on November 2012 ( copy of my passport and 3 small picture for me )
from that time i didn't hear any thing
in the E-cas showing ( We started processing your application on Nov 4, 2012 )
I thought the delay because of the Christmas and the new year vacation
but now we are almost in the end of January and nothing happened
i don't know what to do .... I became depressed and frustrated.
:'( :'( :'(

I AM LOST! :'(
Thank you so much for this thread it helps a lot, I am working here in Ottawa and my permanent residence is still on process since last June 2011, I got married in the Philippines this last December and my next step is to add on my husband in my application whose a Filipino and a resident of Dubai (his working in dubai)
Now we were thinking if to where we will process the application Philippines or Abudhabi immigration?
I have 2 friends I know whose husband processed their papers in the Philippines and got their visa faster, Some i know who lives in the middle east same thing husband was there and received the visa in quite a few months. Its very hard to know since the processing time on the website is different from the experienced of everyone. coz it says there abudhabi 24 months and Philippines 11 months.
A good friend of mine whose a volunteer of immigration office advised me to do the application in abudhabi but then with this thread I am so confused now what to do. If anyone can give me advice it will be a very big help for us. thank you
