I'm kind of panicking and I was really hoping and praying someone could answer my question. I filed my sponsorship through an immigration lawyer and received a call from their office a few mins ago. Apparently the London visa office is asking for the nikkah nama in urdu with translation.
Since they asked, does it mean they have begun working on our file? When they request information similar to this, does it mean that a decision will be made soon after the submission? Has anyone else had a similar experience. I'm soooooooo anxious and going a little crazy over thinking all of this. I'm just trying to get a sense of the timeline!
Weird thing is that when I checked my application online, it says application received and hasn't changed to in process.
Well i might be wrong but the best explanation that i have for your situation is :
when your file is received in London, they put it away for few months instead of looking at it, then after 2-4 months they open your file and scan all the docs to make your paper file in e-file so they can work on it later, so i think when the VO was scanning your paper file, he/she noticed missing doc and sent you an e-mail regarding it and asked you to send the missing docs, so simple solution is not to worry, just DHL them your original urdu nikkah nama, with true translation (attested from lawyer stating it is true) and Nadra marriage certificate(issued from UC office by Nadra)
that is why application online says application received and hasn't changed to in process.
it takes a lot of time , simple as that, no shortcuts
just think 8-10 months for remed and 3-4 months for DM to PPR and Visa so there are no disappointments.
Gud luck

Were you able to contact CIC regarding the status of your application?
MY timelines are exactly same as yours. I got an AOR on Nov 29th, and then my husband's case was forwarded to LVO. My husband currently lives in Europe and he is Pakistani citizen.
No I didn't inquire yet....I think it might be too early and then they might get annoyed with me!
I hope to hear some update this month or so....if not then I think I will inquire when some time has passed!
I hope this is the right decision
Did you hear right away that your file was transferred to lvo when they gave u the AOR?

Do they send an email again after AOR..? we never received one, but my approval letter had these words in it:
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.
Which I considered that my application is also forwarded to LVO. Well I am waiting for my notes now may come in a day or two, which will give a clear picture I hope.

Decision made: Feb 3, 2015 - So far, there hasn't been any letters or emails about the decision so I asked my MP who just emailed me saying he had the response back from CIC yesterday and he's out of the office today so wait until tomorrow!
Then I asked for an update for my GSM notes and got a response back from CIC to wait until Monday, as that's when my 30 day ends.
Allah so much suspense!!! :'(
My decision made on 5 February. Still waiting for ppr. Hope so v'll get sooooooon.

I would like to congratulate you on doing such wonderful job. I have few queries regarding my husband case
I applied for his sponsorship directly from Canada last year in May 2014. Website says processing times for sponsorship is 36 months for Pakistan is it true? or should i follow London office
After 8 months i received an email from LVO asking for CSQ; Quebec selection certificate and other documents so what it means
I want to ask about the status of my application?
How long would it take more for my husband to land in CANADA ?
